Dr. Jessie Kmietsch

Dr. Jessie Kmietsch knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian long before she began volunteering at a local Ohio Humane Society when she was only 10 years old. She received a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Equine Medicine from Otterbein University (Ohio) before taking a gap year. During this year, Dr. Kmietsch supported research efforts in South Africa and Namibia and in her free time shadowed local vets working with small animals, large animals, and wildlife. With this new experience, Dr. Kmietsch was accepted to The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2023.

Dr. Kmietsch has had a broad education covering all species of small, large and wildlife animals but has a passion for treating companion animals. Her veterinary interests include preventative medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. Dr. Kmietsch grew up in Marysville, Ohio and recently moved to Cedar Creek, Texas where she lives with her boyfriend, dog (Gin), three cats (Tato, Jalapeno, and Jani), horse (Maverick) and a donkey (Benjamin). Dr. Kmietsch has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys running, hiking, traveling, horseback riding, plants both indoors and out, learning volleyball, and training her bird dog.
