Dr. Jessica Murgatroyd grew up just outside of Houston in Seabrook, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University for college where she received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management in 2018. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2023.

Dr. Murgatroyd enjoys surgery, exotic pet medicine and emergency care. Her love for animal care began during elementary school when her mom began doing wildlife rehabilitation. In college and vet school, she also worked doing oiled wildlife response and has a passion for aiding wildlife impacted by oil spills.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys outdoor activities, working out, spending time with her partner, Wil, or snuggling with her dog, Jack, to read a good book.
