As a first time pet owner I used to think everything was an emergency and rather than take advantage and say yeah let's run all these tests, they'd say just give him Benadryl no need to come in, or it's not an emergency let's schedule an appointment for tomorrow and see if there is still something there to address. My cat Presley got his annual visit. They were very gentle with him. They swaddled him like a baby for his shots and he did great and did not meow in complaint. They also knew about Feline Site Injection Sarcoma (FISS) and did it in a manner to lessen the chance of getting it. We were both very happy.

Had an excellent experience with SW Vet. Liz, in the front office, worked with me to get a next day ultrasound (as opposed to next month that everyone else was offering). Everyone kept me well-informed and my dog, Jack, was treated well. Dr. Murgatroyd gave me the report and was very patient with me and answered all my questions. And Jack gets to keep his gall bladder!

We have taken our dog to Southwest Vet for over 2 years. We absolutely love the doctors and the assistants! The reception staff is so friendly and nice and it’s easy to make an appointment. The doctors come into the exam room quickly and are so professional and competent. We love Southwest Vet!

Fantastic vet! Dr Kmiestsch was thoughtful and thorough in her exam of my foster puppy, attentive to every concern, and smooth and quick with the vaccines. The admin staff was helpful and efficient. I’d definitely recommend them for your small animals. 🤩

Southwest Vet takes great care of all three of our dogs. Great staff and caring doctors that get you in and out quickly. If you are in Southwest Austin, this is a great place to go.

Tinkerbell required a TPLO surgery on right rear leg. Doctor Shurman gave a very thorough assessment , explained and answered all questions and concerns. His post surgery consultation was very helpful. The whole staff at SW Vet is amazing and caring. Highly recommend. If I could give eleven stars I would.
